Because that is what we humans do, we look at each other. We look into each other’s eyes, even if you are looking at a stranger (or wearing a mask) .
As artists, when you paint a face, the eyes are the soul of the person and your painting. Paint the eyes to express the emotions of the painting and the painting will be a success.
