Summer is here! Let’s have some fun painting hydrangeas.
Join Pat Fiorello, an instructor who has led more than 10 programs with Il Chiostro since 2008, for this paint-along session in oils.
We’ll be using Pat’s reference photo for the painting, but if you have hydrangeas available and want to set them up to paint from, feel free to do so. We’ll have the hydrangeas in a clear glass vase so you will learn how to paint a glass vase for this or any other floral scene you may encounter.
Hydrangeas look challenging since they have so many petals and texture, but once you learn to simplify, suggest and just depict their essence instead of worrying about capturing every little petal, you will see how much fun painting hydrangeas can be!
