Video Archive: Painting Red Geraniums Under the Tuscan Sun-Oils with Pat Fiorello

Join Pat Fiorello, an instructor who has led more than 10 programs with Il Chiostro since 2008, for a paint-along session where you’ll create a beautiful still life oil painting that reflect a taste of Italy.  In Tuscany, geraniums are everywhere, huge bulbs in pots beneath every windowsill, hanging vine geraniums and giant pots in the piazzas of every village.  Geraniums just seem to flourish under the Tuscan sun like nowhere else.

Painting will focus on achieving convincing form and depth, rich, clean color and expressive brushwork.
