Sculpting in Clay, for all levels
This package of 4 sessions is designed as an interactive class where students will sculpt along with Peter
~ Beginners Welcome ~
Peter will guide participants through the process of creating an 18″ – 24”  female torso in clay.
Students will learn a fundamental sculptural language with his simple step-by-step method of arranging clay blocks according to the Position, Proportion, and Planes of the model. Peter will demonstrate how to use tools to achieve lively surface textures, anatomical shapes or abstract expressions.
Firing pieces, applying a patina and mounting finished sculptures for exhibition will be discussed. Peter’s upbeat approach encourages students to find their own artistic style.  We don’t make mistakes when sculpting, we make adjustments, it’s only clay.
[Peter] is the best instructor I’ve had. His influence still informs my work. Working with him opened my eyes to seeing the form as it moves through space.  ~ SP, student from workshop in Tuscany
