ONLINE CLASS: Photo Whisperer – 10-13 – Critique, Tips and Enhancing Your Photos

DATES: 10/13/2021 - 10/13/2021
PRICE: $35.00

Chris Corradino is a licensed photo instructor who works with students of all experience levels. Recent teaching experience includes 10 years with the New York Institute of Photography, a residency at the Ansel Adams Gallery in Yosemite National Park, and leading international workshops in Italy, the Mediterranean, Caribbean, and New Zealand. Smithsonian Journeys recently recognized these efforts by naming him a Study Leader. His work has been internationally published including USA Today, Wall Street Journal, National Geographic online, and most recently the prestigious Mint Images catalog. As the author of three eBooks and over 200 how-to articles, Corradino has developed proven methods that inspire and challenge photographers to fulfill their creative dreams.

In Chris’s own words:

Through the lens, I learn more about myself and the world around me. From the fragile beauty of a fleeting moment, to the destructive capabilities of man and nature, my camera is a vessel of self expression. Though this journey began as a personal one, I’ve had the honor of sharing my images with a worldwide audience.

While I’m truly proud of these accomplishments, perhaps my greatest joy comes from teaching others how to control their camera and fulfill their creative vision. I provide personalized instruction to students of all experience levels.

I’ll admit to sitting in a small wooden blind for several hours waiting for a bird to appear, and waking up long before sunrise to capture a mountain range bathed in morning light. Yet, as majestic as these scenes are, I find even greater satisfaction in creating a unique photograph of something that would have otherwise gone by unnoticed. It’s this elusive pursuit that inspires me to press the shutter and study life, one frame at a time.

I had the BEST 9 days and I wish to thank you very much indeed for being such as excellent instructor. I learnt heaps and enjoyed every minute of our trips to Siena, Florence, Cortona, San Giovanni – the early morning shoots and the wonderful evening location in Florence. My understanding of my camera and the knowledge of what it is capable of is all thanks to you. Your advice of cropping – not too much sky etc – was a valuable lesson to learn and certainly improved my pictures. -Gabriella

Chris led the Il Chiostro-Upside Down photography workshop in New Zealand in March, 2019 and has now moved permanently to New Zealand to start a family. Watch his photographic video One Year in New Zealand.

Critique Class Featuring Your Own Photos

Chris is known to give great tips about students’ photographs.  He loves to make suggestions to bring your photos to the next level.  We call him the “photo whisperer” because he knows how to tweak existing photos or suggest innovative approaches for your next photos.  Click this link to hear Chris describe this class.
My mission with the camera was and still is, to shed light on what is otherwise unseen.
What is it that you want to share with the world?
This workshop, after an introduction by Chris, will be all about looking at and critiquing the photos of the participants.  He welcomes any type of photo you might want to be reviewed by Chris and the class.  Interaction and discussion among the group and Chris will be encouraged.
With the permission of the photographers, Chris will also offer to take your photos into Lightroom to gently manipulate them for the best effect.
For this class Chris requests that all participants submit 3 of your own images that you would like to be used in the critique.
Please email those images to him at:  Send them so he received them by at least 1 day prior to the class.
Your session was excellent. Thank you for the great tips. I realized that I do not use the linear gradient tool as frequently as I should.
Last time I was online with you you helped me with a couple of B/W photos…  You are quite amazing!  ~ JG
