This is the third in a 4-part Italian language class for Advanced Beginners

This is a continuation of the beginning class with Alvise from last month.  If you missed that first series, don’t worry, Alvise will send you all of the materials so you can catch up with the rest of the class.  Better to have some prior knowledge of Italian to jump into this series.

The object of these classes is to learn vocabulary and short phrases that will allow you to have basic conversations about real life situations.  There will be plenty of interaction encouraged among the participants during class.

Each session will be recorded and sent to you after the class, so you can review the lessons at your own pace later on.

Alvise will teach from his native Venice or the nearby town of Trieste, where he has been staying.  Each session will include instruction in basic Italian, conversation and a little bit of travelogue or art history.

When you register, Alvise will send the appropriate class materials so you can prepare for each session.

The class will be limited to a small group to facilitate conversation and interaction among the students.

A note from Alvise about homework assignments:

I do not give much homework, but learning a language involves some effort with constant repetition on a daily basis. The more you read and/or repeat  aloud again and again the dialogues and the words I send, the more you will progress and have fun.  I assign a simple short exercise where you have to fill in the blanks with some missing words (that we learned previously), plus 5 sentences to read aloud repeatedly in order to fix them in your memory. Each student is free to do more, and I’ll send additional lists of words to simply read in order to be prepared.
So the homework I give is nothing difficult or long.

Class Dates: Wednesdays,  September 23 & 30.

Time:  12:15pm (noon) Eastern Time (That is 11:15am Central time, 10:15am Mountain time and 9:15am Pacific time; 5:15pm in Britain and 6:15pm in Europe)
