Have you ever wanted to offer a workshop or program abroad but didn`t know where to start? Or maybe you just don`t have the time to research and set up the program. Il Chiostro can handle all of that for you.

Our expertise comes from organizing arts-related workshops in Italy since 1995. We provide organizations, instructors and participants with beautiful, authentic settings and rich cultural experiences as a backdrop for their programs.

Our programs take place in a variety of settings - from authentic convents to premier quality hotels or villas. We can customize programs in Tuscany as well as in Venice, Rome, Florence, Bologna, Cortona, Sorrento, Sardinia and Lake Garda. We provide accommodations, meals, local transportation, cultural excursions and all administrative services necessary for your workshop. All you need to do is come to Italy and lead your workshop.

Il Chiostro will design, organize and execute programs for:

Teaching artists with a group of students
Affiliate groups or organizations that want to plan a focused, cultural trip to Italy for their members

Qualifications:

The criteria for offering a workship with Il Chiostro are:

have a strong following of students who are likely to take your workshop abroad
have a demonstrated proficiency in your subject (your own web site is recommended)
have relevant and recent experience teaching your subject to adults
have experience in teaching workshops as distinguished from academic courses in a school setting

Groups and Organizations: if you are the leader of or a member of an affiliate group and would like to investigate the possibility of creating an activity-based trip to Italy for your group members, please contact us. Together we can design a unique program that focuses on your particular activity (an artform, language study, cooking, spirituality, self-improvement, family reunion, etc.) but combines it with all the wonderful things about Italy: culture, food & wine, scenery, art, and history. It will make your participants feel that they are seeing an intimate side of Italy that only friends can show you. Wherever you come with us, we want you to feel like you are coming to our home.
