Art is my life journey, more beautiful shared than a journey alone
Dee was raised in New Mexico under the auspices of her father, an artist, musician and published lyricist as well as Peter Hurd, Henriette Wyeth, Michael Wyeth and many of the artists in Taos, New Mexico. Her studies in fine arts continued throughout the years under the influence of many fine artists including David Leffel, Sherrie McGraw, Jackie Kamin, Kevin MacPherson, John Budicin, George Strickland,, John Cosby. Dee has also had the opportunity to study at the New York Students Art League and Scottsdale Fine Art Center. Over the last 30 years, Dee has exhibited in numerous local and national juried art shows in addition to gallery exhibitions, private exhibitions and association juried exhibitions. Her old masters type still lifes and plein air paintings are a part of private and corporate collections. Dee strives to capture “God’s greatest creations” I her paintings so her collectors can enjoy them in their collections as much as she enjoyed capturing that creation.
