Program Description: Capture
the lush landscape, the brilliance of the sunsets Take home treasures of personal creation
In this workshop you will work toward a personal vision to create artistic, meaningful and provocative imagery with digital files or traditional color print film. The workshop will include:
At the end of the week there will be the option to create Polacolor Image transfers and emulsion lifts from selected digital images or prints. All levels are welcome. The classroom will serve as the studio for making image transfer prints on paper, cloth and other surfaces. Those who wish to make transfers will be asked to bring Polacolor 669 film (or pay an additional small fee for the film). Some art papers and other surfaces will be supplied or can be found in the area. Excursions to the nearby cities of Siena and/or Florence to experience the vivid colors of the old cobblestone streets, the incredible antiquity of the buildings and the richness, culture and warmth of the Italian people. Imagine sitting at a cafe watching the world go by AND capturing it with your camera!
Activities:
For friends or partners who want to come along, but are not photographers, there are also two painting workshops being offered during this same week. Check the listings for details.

Getting
There: Florence will be our meeting point on the first day
of the workshop. We will arrange for a van to pick up the group at the
train station at about 3:30 pm on Saturday afternoon. We recommend that
you fly into either Florence or Rome (Milan is a bit too far away).
Florence is closer but it doesn't have an intercontinental airport, so
there are no direct flights from the US. You would have to change planes
in a larger European city. From the Florence airport you will need to
take a shuttle bus into the center (20 minutes). To Register:
